Why Thoughtful Travel Planning Works

Why Thoughtful Travel Planning Works

I’m proud - and genuinely humbled - to share that I’ve once again been named to Montecito Village Travel’s 2026 President’s Club Elite, an honor awarded to advisors in the top 3% of the agency.

This recognition isn’t something I take lightly, because it’s not really about me. It reflects the trust so many of you place in me to help plan meaningful journeys - big trips, special milestones, long-held dreams, and everything in between. For that trust, I’m truly grateful.

It also feels like a natural moment to pause and talk about how I approach travel planning… and why that approach works.

Thoughtful planning isn’t about over-engineering a trip or locking everything down too early. It’s about alignment. Choosing destinations that make sense for the season of life you’re in. Designing itineraries with a rhythm that allows you to enjoy them, not recover from them. And understanding when planning ahead creates opportunity — and when flexibility is part of the magic.

Over the years, I’ve seen again and again that the most successful trips aren’t built around trends or rules. Some travelers are destination-driven, others are experience-driven. Some love cruises, others prefer land journeys. Some want depth, others breadth. There is no “right” way to travel — only the way that feels right for you

That’s the lens I bring to every conversation. Not pressure. Not assumptions. Just thoughtful guidance shaped around what matters most to you and how you like to travel.

If you’re thinking about travel for this year, next year, or even further ahead - whether it’s a cruise, a bucket-list journey, or something still taking shape - I’m always happy to talk it through and help you explore what’s possible.

Warmly,
Lisa
